Segovia lies north-west of Madrid, beyond the Sierra de Guadarrama. UNESCO inscribed the “Old Town of Segovia and its Aqueduct” in 1985.
Getting there
High-speed trains from Chamartín to Segovia’s high-speed station, then a bus into town; book on renfe.com.
The town
From the aqueduct up through the old town to the cathedral and the Alcázar.
High-speed trains from Chamartín, then a bus to the aqueduct.
Our advice: try the roast suckling pig, the town’s signature dish.
